Another Sliema vs Neptunes duel will decide the winners of the BOV Winter League competition, when the two sides take to the pool this afternoon, Saturday 29th May in the Final of this competition.
Sliema beat a resolute and disciplined Sirens side 9-6 in the first of the two Playoff semi-finals held last Saturday. The 2nd session of the game, which the blues won 2-0 was decisive, as it gave the blues a lead which they maintained till the end of the game. John Soler and Paul Privitera, with three goals each, were the top scorers for Sliema in this match.
In the second sem-final of the day, Neptunes beat San Giljan 7-6 in a match that confirmed San Giljan's improvement of late.
